Dark brown pour with a nice tan head that leaves some impressive sheets of lacing. Coffee dominates the nose with some roasty malt and dark chocolate. Coffee leads the taste profile but is quickly joined by the malt and chocolate. Also get a bit of hoppiness to balance all the flavors, although the coffee sticks around long after I've swallowed the beer. Mouthfeel is creamy, albeit a bit thin. Tasty coffee stout with a fantastic price point. Just realized this is now on sale at the local superstore for $3.49/bomber. Time to stock up.

Sampled from bottle, thanks to Dansting! Pours very dark brown with a thin, scattered head. Coffee and roasted malt aroma. Rich flavor dominated by coffee and roasted malt. Great flavor but just not very complex. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated. If you dig coffee, you need to find this.

Cloudy dark brown/ near black pour, some lacing, little carbonation. Stale coffee and old sweet malt aroma. Taste is a big letdown too: very little advertised coffee, stale malts, overly sweet, a big let down. Maybe it was an old bottle. Will revisit if I find another but for now - No.

A murky brown colored beer with a big foamy textured, light tan head rising above. There’s great hang time on this one. Settles into a thick ringlet and light dusting of film aside the glass. Bitter coffee in the nose. Some citrus hops blened in well with that coffee and sweet malt in the tasting. Medium bodied, adequately carbonated. Overall a good beer. Not a WOW beer.

I love coffee. I love beer. This pours pretty dark with a foamy tan head. Aroma of coffee. Flavor is coffee. Very palatable and nice, I really like it a lot.

This particular beverage is produced less than 50 miles from my home. Generally I love the Lagunitas brand, but personally I found this variety to be somewhat of a disappointment. This interation of the lagaunitas brewery appeared in the local grocery store and as I am a periodic coffee lover I thought I would give this "limited issue" beverage a try. I purchased two bottles. The first was consumed, I found the beverage to be pleasantly bitter, but the coffee overtones to be somewhat intimidating, the mouth feel was appropriately long lasting, not watery. Flavor was like nothing I had ever experienced, not wonderful but tolerable. The second bottle as consumed several days later. I am sorry to say that I was unable to finish the serving. It may have been my mood or something else but I was unable finish because of the seemingly too strong coffee flavor along with bitter hop characteristics.

Bottled@The 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (thanks JS). Very deep reddish brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, some wood, mild chocolate as well as some rather ashy and tobaccoish notes as well. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, smoked wet wood, some chocolate as well as mild vanillaish notes.

Aroma of burnt cappuccino, and some chocolate notes. Appearance was a thick syrupy black, not much head or lace. Flavor had some dark fruit notes to compliment the coffee and chocolate, there was another flavor i couldnt place. Overall it was a decent enough stout, especially for coffee drinkers.

A good overall stout. Very dark, not super heavy, but a nice medium thickness. Decent carbonation with a fuzzy dark head. Flavors of coffee, chocolate, malts, etc. The coffee flavor was not overwhelming like some other coffee/mocha stouts I tried, but noticeable for sure. Will buy again.

one of Lagunitas's's's' best beer. the body is just a touch thin, especially for 8%, but it's prettye smooth, so the mouthfeel is nice. the coffee flavor is done to near perfection. great finish as well, with a subtle hop-bitter aftertaste with the coffee/chocolate.
