OKJ - a few 8s here, but the flavor brings up the aversage considerably. I've had it a few times and after this afternoon "many times" may be a better description... it is absolutely stellar. We sat on the veranda, grilled a few brats and had a few Fordham Tavern Ales. Hey, there's gotta be a reason to be self-employed, right? A most excellent pale ale and a sterling example of the American variety.

I had this one tonight while sitting on the back patio at the Ramshead Tavern in Savage, MD. Once the waiter got around to bringing it out, I was good and thirsty and dove right in. This was a decent American pale ale.
The beer had a hearty amber/copper color to it with a moderate head. When you drank the beer, this head left a lot of lacing behind on the side of the glass. The aroma was nothing too special. Mixed in there, you could pick up on hints of sweet malts, light hops, and a hint of citrus.
I thought it drinks pretty well. The beer has a medium body to it and goes down rather smoothly. The flavor was good, but nothing complex or out of the ordinary. It was pretty much a standard American style pale ale with some malts and moderate hops. Pretty good though. Since there was no overpowering hops or citrus flavor, this is a great beer for drinking with dinner. -

This American Pale Ale pours an orange copper color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malt and citrus and piney hops. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are piney and grapefruity. Nicely balanced, slightly hop forward APA. It is almost IPA like in its hopiness. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter.

Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits and toffee malts. Taste was predominantly sweet caramel malts, and a lengthy bitter finish. One of the highlights from yesterday.

I had this one fresh from the tap in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Just like most of their beers this one was weak and watery. I really did not enjoy any of their beers when I was there.

Great brew! Pours an attractive light amber with a thin head. Unfiltered, so a tad hazy--but that just means more flavor! Medium to full body. Clearly an American Pale Ale--the distinctively citrousy American hops are showcased here, both in the lemony aroma and the fruity flavor. Best beer in the house!
