I tried this beer in tap on May 4, 2012 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent cherry red colour with a thin creamy white cap that laced well. The aroma was grainy malt, floral hops, some caramel and a hint of maple. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, some weak sweetness, and bitter/sour aftertaste. The maple is weak, but still makes an appearance. -

On tap: Taps a clear rusty- amber color with a modest rocky cap. Large carbonation bubbles, modest lacing. Aroma is malty-sweet with hints of maple and grass. Thin mouth feel, malt forward profile, styrian-like spicy hop bite is light but discernable, maple flavor is detectable in the finish. Overall a tad sweet but malty so that’s ok with me. I put this on par with the defunct Brickman founder’s series red in flavor profile. I’d buy more.
