330 ml swing-top bottle. Poured in the original Ellezelloise tulip glass an unfiltered and almost opaque rich golden-amber coloured ale with a generous three fingers slight beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sweety malts and fruity, sourish and grainy apples. The flavour is sweety grainy malts, yeast, fruity, sourish apples and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is sweety and quite thick. This medium to full bodied Ale has a dry malty and fruity finish. A solid and enjoyable, easy drinkable Belgian Strong Ale.

A hazy dark golden beer with a medium white foam collar on top. Has a strong hoppy aroma. It feels slight acidic at first. The beer has a sweet and hoppy flavour, with a little yeast. The aftertaste is quite bitter.

Hazy nut brown colour, mediumsized foamy head. Aroma of sweet fruits, berries and weakly also nuts. Yeast, fruits in flavour along with hints of alcohol. Aftertaste yeastty fruity and alcohol. Wellbalanced!

04.10.05 330ml swingtop. Blonde, oaken golden pour, cluttered with group pepper specks of precipitated agitation. Huge white head leaves wisps of lace. Big honey and oat aromas (breakfast!) soft oand sweet with perfume hints and underlying alcohol burn. Velvet palate, full, creamy, light bitter bite. Sweet to finish but not cloyingly so. Full of honey flavors, a bit like honey-nut cheerios. Not fruity despite sweetness, rather it’s floral and fragrant throughout. Interesting.

Golden amber body supports a very large and cottony white foam. Lemon and hay aroma has a bit of a sour washcloth to it. The flavor is straw-like malt, uncooked green beans. Dry finish and smooth mouthfeel. This is a pretty blah belgian blonde.

Light gold color. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is must, leather and fruit. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of banana and pear fruit esters and it a little spicy. Bright yeasts. Smooth taste. Very easy drinking. Not a lot of complexity, light and refreshing. It does hide the 8% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This just looked thick like oil with the sediment. Raisin Bread, apples, and a port aroma. The smells were incredible, but the flavors didn't stand up to the smells. There were apples, cinnamon and a little baker's chocolate tartness. Overall, this is ok, but nothing special.

Bottle: Poured an hazy dark golden color ale with an above medium head with better then average retention. Aroma is mix of very floral malt and some very wonderful spices. Taste is a bit harsh at first (like a rush of spices hitting your tongue) with some sweetness coming in later and some light bitterness at the end. Very enjoyable and good example of the style.
