Bottle from IrishBoy, and I just kinda like the way it looks right there in the bottle, nice label. The pour is pitch negro, ok initial head, diminishes reasonably quick for a sweet stout, doesn't leave much lacing behind. The aroma is roast, caramel, some chocolate. The flavor is roast, almost burnt notes (tilted in that sense for a sweet/oatmeal stout), dry chocolate, caramel, finishing with a lovely oaty dry bite. The dry zingy finish and silky mouthfeel are the highlight of this beer, leaving a wonderful impression, although it is pretty straight forward otherwise, and perhaps less than impressive in appearance. If you like oatmeal stouts, then this is worth seeking out, a nice product. Thanks, Richard!

Pours a black body with a light khaki head. The aroma and flavor is crackers, a hint of smoke, and something I mistook for alcoholic heat before I found out it was only 5.5%.

Pitch black, showing no light. Thick tan head that diminishes fairly quickly. Nice roasty nose. Medium/light body with lively carbonation and a fairly creamy mouthfeel.Nice chocolate notes in the finish along with some bitterness. Plenty of roasted malt coming across the front with just the right amount of sweetness. Big thanks to beerguy101 for this beauty.

Dark Eclipse black color. Smallish head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. A lighter bodied Oatmeal Sweet Stout. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee flavors. Smooth and creamy. A little thin tasting for an Oatmeal Stout, but very tasty. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is creamy and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

It poured a solid black body with a small tan head. (no lacing) It had an immediately noticeable aroma of coffee. The taste was smooth like I'd expected from an oatmeal stout. It was a solid but not specatular stout. I'd get it again as a stout fan but realize that it is not the best oatmeal stout on the market(or the worst for that matter).

GABF '03. Black pour with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. I really dug this stuff, although it was a bit light for my taste.
