Brewed for Einstök Ölgerd ( Brewey ) under separate licence. Brewed in the centuries-old Belgian tradition our White Ale features the complex flavors of the classic witbier, including orange peel and coriander - all brewed with pure Icelandic water that delivers a cool smoothness that is flavorful and refreshingly drinkable. Ingredients : wheat malt, pilsner malt, oats, bavarian noble hops, spiced with coriander and orange peel. Baldur's notes : A clean and crisp start with a smooth mouthfeel thanks to the oats, citrus and spice round out a refreshing finish.

Pours clear topaz with a thick and lasting porcelain head. Aroma presents sweet fruit - more stone fruit than citrus - plus fresh malt. Flavor yields fresh malt, wheat, citrus, and - yep, coriander. Mouthfeel features decent body and peppy fizz. I'm glad I(ce)land-ed a can.

330 ml bottle, from the taxfree store at Billund Airport, Denmark. ABV is 5.2%, 12.8% Plato. Practically clear and very pale yellow colour, moderate to low white head. Strong aroma of grassy and herbal German or Czech pilsener hops, no sign of this being a witbier. Dry and crisp flavour, now with citrussy notes (lemon/lime rather than orange peel), but still not much witbier character. Refreshing though - my rating is, as always, hedonistic - if I rated by style, the score would be lower.

300 ml, on tap at Nisha Craft Beer Bar in Vilnius, Lt. Poured an unfiltered and almost opaque straw-yellow coloured Witbier with a one finger almost white and soapy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is pronounced wheat malts, spicy, cloves, coriander, orange peels, fruity, citrus and herbal tones. The flavour is yeast, huge wheat malts, spicy, cloves and coriander, citrussy tones. The mouthfeel is quite fulled and wonderful smooth. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied Witbier has a dry spicy and wheat malts finish. I like the amazing smoothness of this Einstöck Icelandic White Ale. Another one, please !

A big thanks to my brother-in-law for this beer. A very nice wit. The color was a nice golden color and there were hints of fruit. A refreshing and nice beer.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale-yellow colour with a nice creamy white head, great retention and some thick creamy lacing. Aromas of oranges, not so much the peel, but the inside fruit giving sweet notes with the yeast. Same for the taste, but much milder. The coriander is not felt anywhere. Still, pretty refreshing and quite drinkable. Glad I could try this one, because someone brought some back. Thanks !

First thing you will notice is extremely nice fruity aroma. Colour and appearance suits witbier just well. Taste has a lots of fruits and hops, after taste is a bit of disappointment though being a bit weak and waterish.

Not sure if I had a brew from Iceland before, and this was the last one at Whole Foods so figured I'd give it a try. Plus it's another hot winter day here in FL and wanted to take a break from the heavier/darker winter beers. This is a good dinner pairing and good for the spring/summer season here. Pale yellow unfiltered appearance. Decent feel and flavor for the style....citrus and coriander. Don't think I'd pay the imported price here..as the single was enough to get the idea.

Dull, cloudy yellow colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's a limiting hang time to the head. A thin ringlet and light cap is left. The nose and tasting in profile and a bit of lemon, coriander and wheat. Light, effervescent. Refreshing.

Surprised to see a beer brewed in Iceland at BevMo, and it's not bad! Reminds me in some ways as a poor-man's Hoegaarden or maybe a Wittekerke. Orange rinds, coriander, plain crackers, with a nice sweetness to it to help support and amplify the citrusy nature of the beer. A bit overpriced at $10.99 a sixer, but definitely sesssionable!
