330 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Richard Coeur de Lion stemmed glass a clear and reddish copper coloured Christmas Ale with a one finger soapy and beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, brown sugar, spicy and herbal notes. The flavour is toasted malts, brown sugar, spicy, nutmeg and orange peels, nutty and herbal notes. The mouthfeel is crispy, ( too ) sugary and sticky. The texture is oily. This medium bodied Christmas Ale has a dry sugary and sticky finish. Drinkable ? Anyway, but where is the charm ?
