Sampled on draught at the Brasserie V in Madtown: Pours a murky brown colour with a HUGE tan head. Aroma is sort of sour, yeasty with bready malts and cinnamon on the nose. Taste is sort of tart but rich, flavors all around, nuts, pear and citrus notes.

This had a spicy aroma that was very nice. The appearance wasn't so inviting-a cloudy brownish color that looked very muddy. The flavor seemed to be a blend of spices such as cloves, nutmeg, caramel and honey-not bad but thick. It was a perfect brew for a cold evening.

[BB 2/99] Poured a hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, some cork, nuts, yeast, and light oxidation. Taste of more caramel malts, light cocoa, dried fruits, green apple, spices and light alcohol as well. Low carbonation / soft mouthfeel.

Poured a cloudy golden color. Aroma was fruity and spicey. Flavor was light fruits and spices and hops in the finish, little thing on the mouthfeel, but not a bad beer

Aroma - fruity and spicy. Appearance - got to be the ugliest beer I've ever seen, amber with no head and so many floaties it looked like a slushie. Great mouthfeel. Flavor - much like it smelled, fruit and spices. Overall - okay, but not great. Definitely not worth the price.

Not my favorite Belgian, but decent in it's own right. Pours a deep golden/orangish with a quickly disapating white head and lots of floaties. A little lacing. Aroma of spices and floral hops with alcohol noted in the background. Good mouthfeel. Flavor was ok, but overly spicy for my liking in a beer. I liked it, but probably won't buy it again at it's price. There are many better out there.

dark amber colour, fine head and a nice lacing, some cherry aroma, very malty, nice bitterness, very long fruity and spicy finish - warming and very pleasant

This beer poured with a small off-white head. The appearance was bright orange. The aroma was floral with a hint of citrus. The mouthfeel was dry on the palate with a hop tinge on the tounge. The flavor was woody, slightly sweet with a hint of malt. Dispite the 8% ABV the alcohol was only slightly present

A deep golden color this beer is. Why am I sounding like Yoda? Well the aroma is quite floral with honey and caramel. The flavor is borderline cloying with some sticky honey, caramel, and cloves. This one has some basement dust stuff going on. Hmmm this one isnt anything really exciting at all really.
