Color of deep red fruit punch with a thin ring of white. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy-- a mildly floral aroma-- when expecting fruit punch! The light grapefruit flavor is very welcome, clean, and refreshing, and the beer only gets bitterer with a hint of pine. Honestly decent and not just a novelty as I expected. Tingly, wet and light, not very sticky for the flavor.

Gimmick. Some kind of red/pink color with a similarly tinted head. Sticky sweet aroma, flavor and texture. I figured getting past the nasty color I might enjoy it, but jst too malty and sweet. No balance.

Yeah....the color/appearance is pretty freaky. Red/pink hue color....but no juice flavor. I am guessing maybe some grenadine added. Still tastes like a Marzen, but a little sweeter. Wouldn't say that it's one of the better seasonals around.....interesting to try though.

A novelty, no diggity....thought I was buying my 1st Oktoberfest of the year, instead I get a blood red body with a pink head. As no fruit is added to this beer, the color does indeed produce a frightening feeling. Aroma is of overdone noble hops and metal. Balanced and neutral, fairly pleasant to the palate. Flavor is a tad improved over the aroma, but still consists of strong grassy hops, crystal malt, biscuits and caramel.

This, a novelty beer. Strangest red colored beer with big frothy pink head I’ve seen to date. Some hang time. Nice ringlet left behind. The aroma is so light difficult to pick up. Some malt. Light caramel malt with nice balance of citrus hops. Pretty simple marzen for a creative appearance.

WTF!!! I was assuming that this was a pumpkin-beer, yet I start pouring and I ain't never seen a red beer before. It pours out dark-blood red with pink head and some lace. Flat, bland aroma mainly of malt and very faint citrus. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich, and full-bodied. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit, some pine, and mild spices. It feels like an IPA disguised in red. Good, different.

Uh...this kinda freaked us out when we poured it. It was the last 2nd beer we tried and we thought maybe something went awry in the brewing process. Blood/brick red is not a normal color, but it was kind cool. Honeyish aroma, some vegie type aroma (creamed corn I guess) and paper mache. Flavor was far sweeter than the style calls for, with big honey flavor, grassy bitterness and light finish. Freaktoberfest indeed.

The aroma is sweet with a hoppy aroma but is a bit stong. The appearance is a blood red in color with a small, lacy head that is light-pink. The mouthfeel is good and is sweet with a smooth ending. The flavor is alright but I expected more. Overall, this was a good beer to try but I probably will not buy it again and find it rather gimmicky to say the least.

Sampled 11/20/2008. This Marzen pours a blood red color form a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized pink foamy head. The aroma is slightly roasted malts, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Marzen. The malts are caramel and sweet, with a touch of fruitiness. The hops are earthy and floral with some spiciness. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Fairly decent Marzen, and once you get past the blood red color, very drinkable. There is a slightly odd taste that I am assuming has to do with the food coloring. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Aroma is strong, mainly malty with a fruity, almost cider-like overtone. Pours a warm clear coppery red with a thick, pinkish-beige head. Flavor is crisp and malty with just a touch of fruit, an edge of hoppy bitterness, and a nutty hint. Texture and finish are satisfyingly smooth, and aftertaste has a whisper of sweetness as well as a little hop bite.
