Stranger Than Fiction is a full-bodied porter with plenty of roast flavour with hints of molasses. Ridiculous amounts of chocolate and pale ale malts make this porter a smooth and creamy brew. Dark malts and dark overripe fruit in the nose. Opaque deep deep Brown body with a decent head and lovely lace. Medium bodied with a nice carbonation level a bit slick on the tongue and somewhat drying. Unapology sweet with dark chocolate flavors espresso and cotton candy it is a fairly dry finish and the finish is lengthy.

There is a time and place for every beer style, and when I am where I need to be for a porter, Stranger Than Fiction is in my top 20 list. A beautiful solid brown pour with black edges, it is topped off with a creamy dark brown head. Dark chocolate and coffee are the first things that hit both the nose and the tongue. Nothing too bitter here which makes it an easy drinking porter.

Pours a huge frothy tan head and has a dark brown appearance. Nice dirty lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, earthy hops and some spices. Flavours of barley malts, toasty and bready notes, some hints of chocolate and coffee. Also some earthy and herbal hop notes. Slight bitterness on the palate. Good retention. Fairly smooth mouthfeel.

The beer poures a solid dark colour, black with beown edges, and a creamy brown coloured head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and vanilla hints. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted nutty malt with hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Very tasty! -

Good looking porter with a great head and lacing. Mild roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Flavour follows the nose, plus hints of licorice and burnt toast. Medium body and easy drinking.

Pours a dark brown colour with minimal highlights. Nice creamy mocha-beige head, good retention and thick foamy lace. Beautiful chocolate aromas at first with some mild dark fruits and hops that are released later. The taste is more roasted malt with very mild sweetness and some nice dryness in the finish. The burnt grain lingers lightly on the tongue. A very easy-drinking porter (seems more like a stout from the flavours) with well-balanced hops. Quite pleasant overall.
