http://floridabeernews.com/2015/02/04/cigar-city-to-release-the-milkman-and-the-milkmaid/ This Thursday at 6pm, we will release bottles of The Milkmaid White Stout, a collaboration with our friends from Hardywood Park Craft Brewery in Richmond, VA. The Milkmaid is our first venture into brewing a white stout. The concept is a beer that’s light in color but deceives you into thinking you’re drinking a stout. We added cacao nibs and coffee beans from Buddy Brew to emulate these flavors, and added a combination of hop varieties that impart notes of chocolate and licorice. Bottles are $10/each, one case limit.

On pour what an interesting surprise. I expect a stout to be a dark colored beer. This one was a light copper colored. A big sudsy textured, off white head rises above. There's some hang time on the head. A moderate ringlet is left. The nose is of cocoa nibs. And the taste is amazing. Toasty, chocolate and light notes of coffee. So very smooth.
