This beer has a great smooth taste and finishes with a slight roasted flavor which opens the door to more flavorful beers. This beer offers various levels of flavor complexity due to the variety of malt we use. We were told that it goes very well with a juicy hamburger! Like we say, everything happens for a reason! I created our Red Ale purely on inspiration and the recipe hasn't changed since the first batch. First of two Cassel brews tonight. Purchased at the brewery. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a beige head and some creamy lacing. Aromas of caramel, toffee and roasted malts. Fruity flavours with caramel notes. Hints of nuts. Nothing too crazy, but does the job for a red ale.

Enjoyed a pint at Arrow and Loon. Pours a very small coating of foamy head. Has an amber appearance with reddish highlights. No lacing whatsoever. Aromas are quite faint, certainly malty with hints of grains and resin hops. Flavours have a bit of a rusty like taste to it. Light malts. Spice and resin hop notes. Medium retention. Slick and somewhat oily mouthfeel. A little bit of bitterness on the palate.
