I didn't expect much from this one, since this very same quasi-brewery (aka "Beer Marketing Company") is also responsible for the horrendously insipid "Capistrano Honey Pale Ale:, that I drain-poured half-way through.

But this Amber? Not terrible. But like the stuff that Bayhawk produces (who I suspect is the contract brewer for this outfit), this beer is really rather dull and noncommital.

Looks fine, and even has a decent enough nose. But when it comes to the mouthfeel and the flavor profile, there is really very little going on with this one. Barely enough gumption in the malt bill to matter one-way-or-the-other.

And the hop profile? Some out-of-place fruity notes, it seems to me. More citrusey and floral than what I'd expect from a beer of this ilk. And granted, while I'm surely not shy about the almight hop, it just doesn't seem to make much sense in this particular beer, IMO.

Finishes just as dull as it started. Type of beer that you can almost ask yourself, "Hmmmmmm, I have an empty glass. Did I just drink a beer? Damed if I remember..."

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Pours a nice looking amber color with a medium head. The aroma is very much of butterscotch. The carbonation is low; the flavor is bland There isn't much going on here.

This beer pours a medium amber color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of cinnamon. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of fruit flavors. Hops are kind of mild and slightly citrusy. Pretty much your typical amber. It’s a little sweet, a little thin and a little bland. That said its not all that bad and it is drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
