Troubled darker brown with light brown foam head. Aroma is bittersweet, quite normal for this dark beer. Taste is bittersweet with some grassy notes. Short lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201301)

Amber colour, mediumsized creamy head. Caramel malts, lots of citrus and hops in aroma. Flavour is citrus, melt and some hops. Almost like drinking 7 up or sprite mixed with beer.

Best before date is May 2006. Pours a nice clean amber colour with a slight tanned head that leaves good lacing. Spicy nose with some aromas of roasted malt. Watery mouthfeel. The taste is not much, but some metallic aftertaste. Some bitterness in the finish. Like other Budels product, nothing fancy, nothing crazy offensive, just blah.

There IS worse out there, but really why bother with something like this? Budels is pretty far from good beer, this one, though pretty easy to drink, is on par with the rest - simply crappy.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a medium off-white head with average retention. Aroma is quite weak and only some shy malt can de detected. Taste is also quite bland with some lightly roasted malt and a watery finish. I had macro beer that had more taste then this. Doesn’t augur too well for the rest of this six-pack sampler.
