There Will Be Black builds a hoppy dark tower on a foundation of solid British pale and crystal malts, constructs a midsection of American and German black malts and then sends a spire of New Zealand hops vaulting into the low-hanging clouds. Sharp and snappy, full-bodied but dry, There Will Be Black has a core of black bread and dark chocolate, wrapped in a bright coat of orangey, minty hops. This beer knows the night. This beer will be awesome with your burger, revelatory with your chicken molé, and intends to marry your lamb vindaloo. We think you’ll approve.

The first of three I had at World of Beer today. Near jet blackness in color. A three finger light tan head rises above. There's some hanf time. Ut settles into a moderate ringlet. Light, muted nose, but big tasting of grassy hops and roasted, cocoa malt. Effervescent and refrshing.

Brew on tap at "The Underground" called " brewmasters reserve" Black body no light penetration atall, small thin skiff of a cap. Couldn’t wait I needed a sip..... tasty with a thin body. Aroma is mild maybe coffee with hints of citrus and hops. It smells cold if you know what i mean. Tatse is crisp and clean, hops, vannila, cinnoman...... other things. I’m really digging this brew and normally not a fan of the style. Highly drinkable, fruity finish with mild lingering bitter. I give seven and half thumbs up.

On tap @ Suttree's High Gravity Tavern. Deep charcoal black pour with a tannish head, nice lacing. Roasted malts and some chocolate in the aromas with spicy hops nose. Taste is again the toasted malts along with cocoa, spiced and citrus zest hops bitter, nice linger. Full mouthfeel. Nice black ale.
