MooJoos is a stout built on complexity and texture. Layers of toasted and roasted malt contribute notes of chocolate, cedar, and rich toffee. Generous amounts of oats, both flaked and toasted, give oily texture to the beer which smooths over the ale's moderate carbonation. A traditional British yeast ferments fast and furious, leaving us traces of fruit, reminiscent of a fine cabernet sauvignon.

Bottle from PfoxyJohn. Almost black, dark brown heavy pour, condensed tan head, plenty of lacing. Toasted malts, toffee, dark chocolates, hint of cherries all in the aromas, a bit thin. Flavors mimic the nose with a slight creaminess and nice roasted character. Nice stout. Thanks John.

Pours a very dark brown with no head what so ever. No transparency, the light has no chance in hell penetrating this brew. Aroma is very typical of oatmeal stouts, sweet and oaty. Taste is creamy with the typical oatmeal taste with a hints of coffee and roasts. Fairly flat and watery. Drinkable but a complete let down.

pretty standard example of the style. looks good n dark on the pour. smooth with that lactic quality to the body. smells of milk chocolate and tastes similar, with an ever so slight sourness. not a standout but decent enough.
