Double Wide IPA uses Zeus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Ahtanum hops added for aroma. There are two additional dry hopping regimen employing Ahtanum, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate." IBU-55 OG-19 degrees plato FG-4 degrees plato ABV-8.5%

750 ml corked and caged bottle in the Smokestack Series, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy deep orange to amber colour, large off-white head. Delightful sweetish aroma of fruity American hops, notes of oranges. Very hoppy flavour on a solid malty base, notes of oranges again, the bitterness is distinct but not too extreme. A very fine beer!

A bold amber colored beer with a big frothy textured off white head rising robustly above. There's great hang time on the head. Big thick and persistent film and moderate ringlet are left. A total profile, far lighter in the nose is caramel and bold floral-citric hoppiness. Full bodied and smooth. Great refreshing.

I'll start out by stating that I'm not a big Boulevard fan. I find most of their beers to be grainy and monochromatic. That being said, this is a great beer. Pours thick like an imperial IPA. Big head and bold body. The aroma is not overly hoppy. The taste is astounding. Floral hops and a malty body. Finis is sweet but not cloying. This is good IPA and and a great beer.

Amber with off white foam lacing to glass, you can count the sips. Hop smell and bitter taste with apricot and citrus. Dry aftertaste, turning from citrus to bitter (Houston 201205)

Aroma is a bit subdued but maybe the bottle is old. Nice thick mouthfeel as one would expect from an Impy and the flavor is great. Beer is bottle conditioned so one has to be careful with the pour but it's great for the beer and flavor.

I am a huge fan of the Single Wide IPA. I was excited to try Blvd's Imperial IPA. This beer pours a deep orangish color with an off white head. There was great lacing down the entire glass as I drank it. It had a spicy aroma not doubt the dry hopping, this beer had a rather thick mouthfeel, almost two sweet but as an IPA it was very good, bitterness was strong but not overpowering, you could feel the sweetness of the malt in the background. Another great beer by Boulevard.

It pours a dark and hazy amber/brown with traces of sediment and a foamy off-white head with copious lacing. An aroma of rich caramel malts, hops, light grapefruit and citrus, brown sugar, and mild spice blend. The mouthfeel is too thin for me. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit/citrus, alcohol sting, and some spiciness. It's good but I don't think the flavor lives up to the aroma.

aroma and flavor of spicy hops, malt, and bitter orange rhinds. nice, but short of elite, and for the price, it’s one i’ll have to skip in the future. at a reasonable $$$ I’d go back for more

Beautiful amber pour with a substantial tight cream-colored head leaving copious amounts of wide lacing. Malty caramel, pine and resin, slight citrus hops, earthiness in the aromas. Flavor is slightly sweet and malty upfront giving way to big pine and floral hops bitter. Big beer, cool name, very nice beer. Another one marked off of the wish list.

Hoppy aroma, with a hint of biscuits. Clear, dark brown, with a two-finger head that dissipates leaving decent lacing. Medium-bodied, with a hoppy floral flavor with an aftertaste that is not overly tart.
