Received via trade with bluesandbarbq (thank you!). Sunday night, watching Steelers vs Broncos, week #1. A nice beer. Reminds me a lot of a local beer called Hops of Wrath. Nose is pretty weak, with barely any noticeable hop profile and a soapy profile. Not much head retention, but body is a clear golden body, small off-white head. Flavor is easily the best quality of the beer, with a blast of grassy/grapefruity hops. Kinda ragged though, but still nice. Not much malt backbone so perhaps that's why it's a little ragged. Mouthfeel is a little puckery/aspirin-like, which wasn't something I would highlight. All in all, a nice APA with a focus on hops, which I appreciate. -

Thanks, Lou - a really good APA that was a bit more hoppy and floral than many of the APAs - maybe a borderline IPA. Hops/grapefruit/pine/floral in a well-balanced scheme. Amber with a touch of gold and a moderate head that laces well. Good malt back and a crisp bitter finish.

On tap @ Blackstone in Nashville. A clear golden amber pour with a nice head and plenty of lacing. Aromas of grassy and earthy hops - slight grapefruits - with some malts presence. Nice balanced taste with the grapefruit of the hops coming through cleanly balanced by the malts. A nice APA.
