Nov. 2009 - Labeled "Beer for Hope 2008" - Amber brown with large fluffy head. Beautiful looking beer. Aroma of detergent soap. The flavor was really malty and sweet with some hoppage....some odd grainy flavors. Unique and interesting, but not really excellent.

KCC Round 4. Bottle, 12 oz brown long neck, served with Chinese take out. Amber colored brew, slightly hazy, with a tall, off-white head, and plenty of lace. Aroma is delicate and pleasant, flowery. Taste is subtle sweetness, dry and tangy after the swallow, but a decidedly sweet uptick in the aftertaste. Very nice with moo shu pork. Well made.

Pours orange copper with a low white head. Huge on the hops, with a lot of citrus going on. Overall OK, but nothing terribly special going on here.

Pours a color somewhere between ruby and copper with a slight chill haze that fades completely as it warms. The head is huge and fluffy, and a dirty white color. The aroma is oddly like lemon soap (and it’s not the glass, I checked the glass before using it). The flavor is thin malt that doesn’t balance or mesh well with the hop flavors. A touch metallic. Not really all that satisfying.

Reddish amber color. Large sized white foamy head. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of caramel. Hops are slightly spicy and a touch grapefruity. Fairly typical amber. Nicely balanced. Very lively carbonation. Very drinkable but not very special. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

The aroma is very hoppy-like with some hints of saaz hops as well as some malt with hints of organic spice. The appearance is crimson amber with some haze present with a huge, bubbly head that is white and does not discipate at all. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good hoppy balance with some malt complexity and coats the pallet nicely. The flavor is hoppy grapefruit and organic with some yeast present married with some possible smokey characteristics with a nice, slightly bitter finish that is smooth and refreshing and goes gown nicely. Overall, not a bad ale and pretty tasty and hoppier than some I have had with a good organic to earthy finish that is desirable.
