The beer pours a solid black colour with a thin dark brown film for a head. The aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, dark chocolate, and coffee. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly more carbonation than most stouts. The flavour is milk chocolate, roasted nuts, and a hint of vanilla. Finish is bitter. I enjoyed this beer.

Can from LCBO that pours a real dark brown colour with hardly any highlights. The big frothy mocha-coloured head lasts quite a while, leaving some thick creamy lacing. Coffee nose at first, with the chocolate coming out eventually. Hints of roasted malts, molasses, dark fruits and vanilla. The taste shows more the coffee-burnt malts side. Slightly creamy, smooth mouthfeel, but lacking chocolate in the flavours. Not bad, and not too sweet, rich and thick.. so can have a few of these.

473ml can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy beige head that dissipates to a thin layer. Has a dark brown appearance. Some thick dirty lacing. Aromas of dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Flavours are mostly sweet, roasted malts, coffee and cocoa. Some hints of vanilla as well. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. It's not bad.

Pours a dark brown with a fast fading tan head. Minimal lacing. Flavours of roasted malt, dark and milk chocolate, coffee, hint of smoke, and lactose sweetness. Decent flavour does not transfer to the aroma. Body is a little light for the style.
