Slightly hazed deep amber colour with a warm beige head, decent retention and some light patchy lacing. Loads of fruitiness in the nose with the rich malts. Some dark fruits like raisins and dates, but not as heavy as most stronger dark beers. The taste shows the fruity malts, but with some nutty hints. Some apples, some mild yeast. The hops are lower to BTP standard, but still there to add a dry finish. Quite nice overall and those who like Nut Brown or Red Ales would like this.
