I've tried gluten free beer - La Messegre and I rather liked it, but this stuff was nothing like that. It's swill plain and simple. I found it to really be no different than any other swill on the market. It's bland and kind of sour but it grows on ya after a bit, but not that much.

There is nothing about this beer that resembles an IPA. Generally gluten-free foods are awful, and beer is no exception. There really is nothing about this beer I like. Colour reminds me of a light beer. Aroma reminds me of floor polish. Flavour reminds me of apple juice with alcohol. Stay away!

The beer poured a translucent medium gold colour with a short lived very thin white head. The aroma is exotic fruits and licorice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour is perfumey fruit and licorice. -

Oh yuck ! Smells awful. More like cider with the balsamic vinegar scent. Looks thick and golden with a little head that disappear quickly just like cider (and carbonation is hard to find). Says ingredients are Spring water, sorghum, pear juice, demerara sugar and hops. Pear juice ?? No rice in this one like "La Messagère" and "New Grist" (two other popular gluten free beers here). Caramel is also in the aroma, and I guess that is why I find the smell weird. The taste is bit better with hints of apples and a little hoppy finish. I thank God that I am not allergic to gluten.

Bottle fresh from brewery: Puts a clouded gold-orange ale in the glass. Puffy 3 finger cap reduces to surface cap and laces the glass well. Soft carbonation. Aroma is bright citrus, some mango and sweet malts - very pleasant aroma Sharp mouth feel. Front side has almost perfect balance between malt and citrusy hops, middle adds some bright fruitiness, finishes long and goes bitter-dry and tart with an almost puckering dry cider-like quality. Probably the best gluten free beer I’ve sampled but then I’ve only tried a few.Flavorful, bright and citrusy, dry and quenching.
