It certainly does smell like blueberries (albit factory fabricated), but doesn't look or taste it! Pale colour off the pour, just a bit of head. Mouthfeel is light with a nice dry finish. As for the taste, there is almost nothing in here to promote being called a fruit beer - the little blueberry that I do taste is most likely from the nose. Otherwise, it's an average lager of weak malt and slight hop. I was expecting so much and they were definately not met.

Some flavours mix, but i dont think blueberrys and beer are two of those. The tartness of the blueberrries mixed with the hops/carbination of the beer creates an almost overpowering bitter attack. No real flavour or sweetness. Not a good beer at all.

Some subtle character to this beer, but nothing overly appealing. In fact, I can see where many found it unappealing. Aroma is of faint, over ripened blueberries. This is really just a plain ale with some blueberry coating - hardly enough to consider it a fruit beer. My main complaint is that this British water and fruit just don't mix. I suppose it's the strong minerals that just overrun the fruityness. Too coarse and minerally to be refreshing in this context. Not impressed or likely to ever revisit.

Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a huge bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of blueberry syrup is quite intense. Taste is dominated by the cheap blueberry extract with a weak malt base and little or no hops. I guess this is just another weak fruit beer to add to the collection.

One of the LCBO one-timers, this blueberry beer pours a golden-yellow colour with a very slight hue of green-blue. Its nice bubbly white head leaves a unified lacing as it fades at an average pace. Carbonation all over, but not too excited. Decent berry juice scent mixed with some mild pepper. Does not shout out blueberries (if you haven't seen the bottle). Ingredients says water, malt, hops, yeast and flavour. Yes, flavour... as in not the real fruit. Sad. The taste is also fruity, but so light that it is kind of bland. No aftertaste and dry. Bought some for the cellar, but that is all I will be buying. A boring pils with some fake blueberry flavours.

I love Blueberries otherwise I would have passed this one up. 500ml bottle puts a clear pale straw beer in the glass with a small 1/2 in. cap that reduces to a light lace. Aggressive carbonation The aroma is overwhelmingly blueberry but has a synthetic quality to it...kind of like perfume... light grains just barely detected beneath it and that’s it...2 dimensional nose to it. Light body, weak malt spine liquid mouth feel and a sharp, tart, dry character. Up front the tongue is pummeled with some damnable "essence" that approximates Blueberry this is soon balanced by a dry pilsner like taste that gives the impression of a sour cider but with enough grains in the taste to detct the dry pilsner in its base....finish is fast sharp/crisp and dry with little afertaste. Well I can at least say I tried it...won’t be back for more.
