Picked up a couple bottles at the brewery. Pours a nice huge frothy tan head that leaves some thick sticky lacing behind. Has a very dark amber appearance. Aromas of herbal and earthy hops, hints of chocolate and coffee. Flavours are quite sweet, malty and has lots of hoppy notes. Herbal hops are the most pronounced but also has some bitter hop, and some spices as well. Good smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Pretty good.

Cask at the Loon. Pours a cola-looking colour with a bubbly beige head, very good retention for cask, and some foamy lace. Very yeasty aromas smelling like wet socks. Hints of grass and sweet malts. The taste is more like an IPA over roasted malts. Mild dry hops lingers and the taste is a little better. Some sourness in the finish. Gets better with time, but nothing too exciting.
