A golden Belgian style ale. When cold, has a mildly fruity nose, huge dense head, great mouth feel, wonderfully warming slightly sweet and moderately hoppy dryish finish. As it warms, the nose disipates as does the dry finish. This would be a good one to cellar for a year.

Pours out a clear 18k gold color with a thick short lived white head. The aroma is more hop than malt with a spice and flower note. The mouthfeel is only average but smooth. The taste is okay not very special. Although in the taste the spice along with the mild malt. Is a nice surprise since it smelled hoppy.

Shared bottle at RBNAG 2011 in Oslo. Why are always the best beers served near the end of the tasting? Golden to amber colour, this is a Belgian-style golden strong ale, with lovely spicy and fruity notes in both aroma and flavour. Well balanced and not too sweet. Very good.

Over the years I've come to really enjoy a Belgian Strong Ale or two, and this is no different. A clear golden yellow with a thin white head that emits an aroma of malt, banana, and pepper. The flavour is mild, slightly refreshing, and primarily sweet malt with a hint of hops in the finish.

very spicy aroma and flavor...i can taste many of the aspects of the Avery/Russian River collaberation in here, but each part is not quite as good as the sum...it's like the two Salvation Ales completed each other to make "Collaberation Not Litigation. This one has a nice, clean fruity and spicy yeast profile though, and is quite tasty with a decent dose of hops as well. Pours a dark golden, one finger head that sticks around. Medium bodied and pretty smooth. Very dry finish.

This one just wasn’t for me. If I wanted to drink rubbing alcohol, I know exactly where to find it. I simply don’t want it in my beer. For me, this had a decisively isopropyl flavor, especially on the finish. Gave me the shivers each time I would swallow the sip. The aroma has a pleasant fruityness, combined with a clean malt/yeast profile really had me going for a second. This just failed to deliver. Overly sweet, too much alcohol...just bleh.

Grain Champagne is the best way to describe this one. Fruits with a nice complete of spices enhance the warming of the alcohol. Cloudy Yellow body, foamy head. Nice carbonation.

Sampled from bottle: pours a vibrant, translucent golden-orange colour with a small white head. Lacing left behind is scattered, but noticeable. Based on my stuffed up nose, the aroma is of bananna, honey and ripe mangoe. Taste is sweet, bubbly with plenty of tropical fruits. Pineapple and lime. Finishes very nicely.

It pours a lovely golden amber with some fine bubbles and a white, fairly persistent head. Aroma is more hoppy than malty and has an odd but not repulsive rubbery hint. Flavor is fairly rich, malty and hoppy with a good alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is edgy and a little harsh, but this is still a good call.

Pours dark gold with good clarity and small, creamy head. The aroma has light notes of yeast, spice, and alcohol. The flavor balances sweet, bready malt against ample bittering and peppery spiciness. Easy drinking for the style with a medium body, velvety mouthfeel, and moderate warming affect.

Sampled from bottle. Pours bright copper with a thin white head and nice lacing. Bold floral, hard candy and pepper spice aroma. Slightly bitter. Phenols/esters are dominant. A bit hot, but otherwise quite drinkable.
