I dearly love Greek food; I go to 3-4 greek church festivals every year and just one locally isn't licensed for wine. No Retsina! Faced with the choice of Bud, Bud Light, or Athenian, I'll take Athenian. I won't touch it in any other circumstance. Drank from the bottle, so I can't comment on appearance. It's very similar to Heineken in aroma, body and taste, and especially the aftertaste.

For the most part this is pretty average....nothing great and nothing terrible. There is a slightly skunky aroma when first opened. This poured a light golden coloring with a small bit of lacing (almost looks like soap bubbles). The taste is a little watery or a very mild lager. Not bad but not something I would seek out.

Clear gold color with a white cap that disappears quickly. Sweet aroma is almost floral, but not hop-based, as the flavor quickly reveals. The flavor is malt, a little richer than expected, and corn. Feels ... I'm not sure how to describe this ... like vegetable oil but lighter. Probably won't bother again.

Malt aroma, little carbonation, taste reminiscent of stale corn cobs. Pale gold color, white head. I love all things Greek, but this isn't one of them. Brings to mind funky ginger ale. Disappointing.

Standard sub-par Euro-swill, IMO. Reminded me very much of so many other anonymous-tasting Pale Lagers from {fill-in-the-country}. Is this cheaply made swill from Fiji? ...New Zealand? ...Bolivia? ...South Africa? ...Italy? ...Estonia? ...China? ...Viet Nam? Regardless of it's geographic home, this beer from Greece gets a 5.0 on the Blandness scale.

Cheap rice/corn aroma, minimal mouthfeel, slightly sweet and unappealing flavor profile (that goes from weak to unappetizing as it warms up), with only marginal-at-best drinkability. Certianly nothing that would inspire Plato or Aristoltle to think very deeply.

Ok, some of these "passport" building beers are just weak. Don't confuse Greek with the rest of Europe, at least not if this beer is any indication of their capabilities. Dark amber color and the flavor was somewhat strong. However, the flavor was not good: corn and some off taste I couldn't place in a somewhat grassy and definitely malty base. Weak
