2020 Description This is our flagship beer. We consider it the 'A' in ABC. It was our first creation and this gem continues to be our most popular beer. An excellent introduction to the craft beer world, Ashton's Amber Ale has subtle flavours that will appeal to every palate. This pint boasts caramel notes, hoppy aromas and a clean finish. Enjoy! 2012 Description Amber beers are a style that fall between light pale ales and brown ales. They are generally categorized as pale ale. This beer is dark amber in colour, has traces of citrus in its aroma, and one can pick up hints of caramel and coffee in its full bodied flavour. Though it is fairly well hopped (15ibu), the robust character and complexity of this fine amber turns it into nectar of the gods that no serious beer drinker should pass up.

Gotta love a pub with great variety on tap right next to the movie theatre! Had time to kill, so why not try new brew (new to me of course) This one got to me with barely any head. Nice red/amber colour, weak lacing. Has a bit of a bitter aftertaste, not much mouthfeel. Hints of citrus in taste. Hops are somewhat undistinctive (If an amber is categorized as pale, which I'm sure it is). Average for me.

Sampled at Quinn's Ale House in Ottawa, Ontario. Pours a golden-amber colour with a small white cap and some lacing. Caramel nose with some light fruity aromas. The mouthfeel is your typical wetness. Mild sweetness at first and then, mild bitterness for the finish. Refreshing amber ale with a little more taste than standard ones of this style.
