May 2015: 500 ml bottle, as Kloster Andechs Bergbock Hell, BB date 13.02.2014, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. ABV is 6.9%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Moderate aroma, some sweetish grassy and floral notes. Medium sweet flavour, notes of pilsener malts and moderate herbal hops. Not bad, but not the best beer from Klosterbrauerei Andechs.

Clear light yellow with small white foam head. Aroma is a solid German pilsener, so is taste. Good, but not special, very refreshing. Short aftertaste. (Velp 201212)

(6.9%). Quite clear golden colour with mediumsized white head. Totally lovely caramelly, alcoholic and malty nose, Flavour is very much the same in an excellent mix. Looks like a watery thing, but has one of the best palates around, as well as the flavour, which just grows as the beer warms up. One of the better quality heller bocks.

Bottle. Great looking pale, golden colour with nice small white head. Aroma is grassy and grainy. Taste is sweet and malty, with raisins and some hops. Smooth, with an excellent mouthfeel. Can feel the alcohol at the end. An excellent well balanced beer.

Berg bock (6.9% abv)is a fine heller bock and the only reason I did not rate it higher is there are many local version I prefer over it! Having said that, I would always welcome a visit from this excellent brew. Strong maltz ,some hopfen, and a ncie sharp taste of alcohol on the back of the throat. I prefer this to the famous Dunkle bock, although it is not generally on tap at the Kloster.

pale golden colour, few foam with big bubbles, alcohol, malt and orange in a well-balanced nose, full-bodied, oily, long malty alcohol and fruity finish - this is a very good bock
