surprisingly wheaty taste to this beer. not as strong as some of it's central european counterparts. easy to drink and fully refreshing to the parched traveller's lips. to my taste, not as crisp and refreshing as other spanish beers but a winner never-the-less

Clear light orange with white foam head. Aroma is sightly malty and some weak orange. Taste is a good quality pilsener. Nice bitter aftertaste. (Velp 201212)

330 ml green bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Crystal clear deep golden colour, big to moderate white head. Fairly nice and moderately sweetish aroma, notes of hops and spices. The flavour has a noticeable malty sweetness but also fairly decent hops, with some spicy notes. Hints of caramel. Better than I feared.

Third time I've had this - this time it's courtesy of my mom who travelled to Spain, Portugal and Morocco - Thanks Mom!
Poured out a thin bubbly white hear but then again it was a very careful pour for whatever reason. No lacing to note, clear deep gold brew. The aroma is way better than I thought or remember - sweet, clean malts, very floral, a bit of fruit. The taste is pretty good as well with sweetness, bready malts, corn (acceptable just this once) and a hint of alcohol when warmer. Goes back smooth and quickly, light carbonation, a bit on the dry side, enjoyable bitter finish. Green bottle success? The first and only.

Bottle: Poured a ginger-ale color lager with large bubble and a medium head with average retention. Very strange looking beer. Aroma of malt and crisp hops is clearly identifiable and no trace of skunk even though green bottle had to travel 3000 miles. Taste is quite refreshing with very fresh and crisp hops. Easy to distinguish from a pale lager and quite refreshing.

Bottle. Dark gold with large white head. Sweet malty smell. Same for taste with a slight bitter finish. Medium bodied. Somewhere in the range of OK to not bad.

Green 330 ml bottle with no label and bar code on cap. Closer inspection is a very attractive embossed bottle with Reserva 1925 on front and Alhambra on shoulder, back lists alcohol content, ingredients, and brewer (in spanish). Received free logoed, gold rimmed glass with purchase of 6 pack. Poured dark yellow, with bright white moderate head that left nice lace, and good carbonation. Flowery sweet aroma with added smell of hops and malt. Slightly sweet malt flavor well balanced with taste of grains. Full mouthfeel with a dry, somewhat bitter, hop finish.
