Bottle. Colour - rich mahogany colour, pretty opaque when held to light, thin rocky cream coloured cap, minimal lacing. Aroma - christmas spices, nutty malt, yeast, dark fruits, and fresh baked bread. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - Sweet and malty to start with but the spices and the bitter hops do come through in the finish,

Pours out a yeast infected brown color with a white foamy head that won't go away. The aroma is of spice and yeast. The mouthfeel is just short of being thick. The taste is of spice and fruit. The bottle I drank had been on the shelf for two years. And was full of sediment which was good.

Malty aroma has a strong fruity note and an overtone of cloves and cinnamon. Pours a clear dark mahogany with a fairly thick light tan head. Robust flavor fills the mouth with fruity (apple, banana, a little pear), malty, clove, cinnamon, caramel and horehound notes. Firm, smooth texture has plenty of fizz and life. Good any time of year!

A gilded copper-colored beer, the foam is thin at the smell it smells of spices, smoked grain. but in the mouth ... it is light and you can not find the smoky taste, smell caramelized.

A copper coloured Christmas ale....that's new. Aroma was a mixture of dark fruits (plums), yeast, spices, and caramel malt. The flavour was a nice balance between the sweet malt/spices and the hops and yeast. Highly recommended.

had on my wishlist since 4/19/2006, drank sometime in late '08 .. . on special for 5.75, why? .. . Quite cheeky, spewed for a minute .. big head, nice lacing (i hope billy is enjoying his beer more) .. simple flavors- brown sugar, light xmas spice, blah needs more .. . nides the abv well, some slight metallic notes to it .. firing squad or electric chair, its all the same to me...

Pours a dusty amber. Thick off white head. OK lacing. Mouthfeel is great. Spicy undertones, yeasty, some caramel - quite balanced. I like it, I like it a lot.

A cloudy, dirty reddish colored ale. A big off white foamy head rises above. It settles into a soapy cap atop the body of the beer within a minute. Malty and fruity aromas. Not bold, but there. Light bodied, unoffensively carbonated and creamy. Sugar and fruit like dates in the taste. Not complex, but drinkable.

Imbibed during Thanksgiving with my brother and some friends. Pours a solid brown color with a uber-fizzy head that disappears VERY quickly. Tastes contain raisins, plums, cherries brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sometimes I get the feeling of drinking a raisin brandy. Some heat from the alcohol, which is nice on a chilly night like tonight. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but drinks so smoothly. The aftertaste is rather dry, with some lingering spice. This made a great apri-dinner drink.
