Dark brown colour with ruby highlights. The head is quite big, frothy-creamy, light mocha-coloured with good retention and some foamy patches of lacing. Roasted and chocolate malts as a base, with a touch of grassiness from the hops. The flavours shows a little more of the burnt barley with the hops really stepping up. Quite herbal and grassy, with a dry finish. I get some chocolate notes lingering. A decent Black IPA, but with a little more chocolate malts than I am use to. Interesting, but does work.
