A bit different from the usual red. Has a slightly nutty quality, up-front bitterness with a lingering, malty aftertaste.

fairly standard malty, toasted, nutty red ale, with a slightly odd/conflicting citrus character in the finish that just didn't quite mesh with the malt.

An Amber Ale from California
Aroma: The aroma of weak malt citrs tones predominates
Appearance: The beer pours a reddish brown colour with a off-white head that lingers
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, medium carbonation
Flavour: The flavour is roasted malt with caramel tones.
Overall: This beer is okay, if you are trying to cross off all the Amber ales in the world, then you need to try this. Otherwise, totally optional.
