I tried this beer on January 18, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The beer poured a translucent red with a thin white head which disappears quickly. The aroma is malty and grassy. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with low carbonation. The flavour was slightly sweet, a little malt, and a lot of grass! -

The 8.0% ABV was clearly written on the keg. I tried this beer on January 11, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The beer poured a brownish black with a finger thick tannish creamy head. The aroma was a mixture of roasted malts and chocolate. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, creamy, and medium carbonation. The taste was definitely chocolatey. The alcohol, while not tasted, was certainly felt. -

I tried this beer on January 10, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The beer poured a hazy orange-gold colour with a thin white head. The aroma was very hoppy with perfumy and citrusy tones. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium to high carbonation. The flavour was definitely strong on the hops with a definite grapefruit flavour. A nice bitter finish. -

I had heard many many great things about Beck's, so naturally I had to try one. Unfortunately, I was not able to add any great comments. This is just an alright beer. The colour is a nice translucent golden colour, the aroma was neither appealing or repulsive with a slight malty smell. The flavour was mild with some grassiness. The mouthfeel was smooth and crisp with just the right amount of carbonation.
