Comes in a "cute", small 250ml, green bottle. Bought a really portable 6-pack of these. It is close to a German Pils, but is considered a strong pale (and is from France). Has a pale golden colour and very bubbly. Not much head, and no lacing. Moderate hop aromas and mild bitter taste, with a sweet finish. Quite refreshing ! At 5.5% ABV, good thing the bottles are small. If you like Heineken, this is a good alternative.

As always, great looking label on a clear 500ml bottle, from Wychwood brewery. Poured a nice golden-orange with an average head. Had citrus aromas and taste, with a light bitterness. Also, hints of apple. Not bad, but prefered Hobgoblin from this brewery.

Had a two-for-one special last night at the pub I went to, so had a few (o.k. many). Like all Ephemere from Unibroue, I really enjoyed these. Purple-pink in colour, this well-carbonated beer had a good long-lasting head (as most Unibroue beers do). Nice fruity aromas and great black currant taste (not to sweet, always well balanced).

Comes in a nice 500ml brown bottle, with a seal around the cap written "Garanteed to be beechwood matured". Pours an amber colour and a nice bubbly head just like the Lowenbrau I had tonight (except it was beige). Aromas of sweet malts. Has a dry bitterness and a sweet finish. For and altbier, I do prefer Magnotta Brewery Classic Altbier.

Lowenbrau most popular beer (Original) is pale yellow with a good head (quite a lot for this type of beer - and long lasting). The high carbonation is swirling like a tornado in my glass. It has a slight matly aroma (but no skunk in mine... woohoo !!). Taste is crisp and refreshing, leaving a good amount of lacing. There is a mild bitterness with a clean finish. I was expecting a metallic taste, but I did not get it (which is fine with me). Great summer beer.

This (for the time being) has to be my favorite beer. It beats Kilkenny (which is a good beer), but the problem is that you cannot get it any other way then in a keg. That means you have to have it in a pub. Creamy as hell. Wow, wow, wow !! Highly addictive. Wish they would make it in a 500ml can.

Newcastle "The One and Only". Wow, lots of marketing behind this beer. Bud drinkers might like this beer, if you don't show them the colour. A redish-brown beer with a thin tan head. Tiny bubble carbonation. Smells a bit sweet with hints of coffee. Up to that point, everything lives up to its image. Taste - nothing there. I'm pretty sure it tastes better on tap then in a bottle. Makes an o.k. summer beer. Bass is much better, even Hobgoblin.

440 ml can with a widget. Poured a hazy amber colour with a very nice, thick and creamy, long lasting head. A beautiful beer up to that point. Then, very little aroma. Light smooth taste and short finish. Reminds me of a Kilkenny, without the punch. It's not bad at all, but just no taste and aromas.

500ml can. Redish-brown with a nice lasting bubbly head. Very little aroma, very light carbonation. Bitter caramel taste with a smooth metallic finish. Like other mentioned, hard to take it as an IPA (more like Brett said "an English Brown Ale").

This is a low carb beer. These beers seem to be the fashionable thing right now. Sleeman made the Clear, Labatt made the Sterling, etc... But of all of them, Molson Ultra is the best for me. It has 4.5% alcohol, as oppose to 4% for the others, which makes this beer tastier then the rest. This is the beer I prefer to watch the 2003-2004 hockey season (specially the playoffs - Go Flames Go !!).
