Sampled from a 500ml can, which is not very appealing to the eye (which I guess is the reason I am the first to review such a good brew). Poured a black liquid with very dim red highlights, and a brown creamy head. Left some good lacing. The aromas (too bad) were not happening. Not much there, just mild sweetness. The mouth though, was very pleasant. Started on the chocolat side and landed on a slight bitter finish. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy. A great alternative to Young's Double Chocolat (when you can't find it - like here in Canada).

My friend McGee (Beerpal member) told me about this brew. We had it before he left town to go back home, with some good B.B.Q. Sampled from the "Imperial Pint" bottle. Funny how this brew is 5.2% alc/vol from the bottle, and 4.3% from the can. Poured a dark chestnut colour with a tan head that left some foamy lacing behind. The aromas were mildly fruity and of sweet malts. Could taste the caramels with hints of molasse and coffee. Had a smooth mouthfeel with a bitterness that stayed... and built up... for a long, long time. Very good if you like an English Special Bitter.

Second honey lager review (for a Ontario, Canada brew) for tonight. Poured a golden colour with a head that dissipated quite quickly. Could smell aromas of sweetness and grass. Lightly carbonated compared to the Lakeport version. Medium sweet taste of honey to start with, and then has a dry finish. This beer is now called Beehive. This is part of there lower brand selection (with the other being Trailhead lager). The rest of their beers are higher standard, and rock over this one.

First of two reviews on Ontario, Canada brewed honey lagers. This one from Lakeport poured a golden-orange colour with a decent head that had little retention. Aromas were of malt with sweet hints. Had medium carbonation. Started off slightly bitter, and then finished on a mild honey note. This brew had lots of marketing behind it, being a buck a bottle (canadian funds) which is cheap here. This resulted in being in the top 10 sellers in Ontario. O.K. That doesn't say much, but this beer is awesome for summer.

Sleeman's Cream Ale poured a light golden colour with a nice head that did not stay long. Some slight lacing came out of it. Malty aromas are what I could smell, and a mild grainy taste. Lightly carbonated, this brew is maybe dissapointing for a cream ale, but quite refreshing for a normal ale.

Served from the can. Poured a golden-amber colour after finishing the cascade effect (from the nitro). Formed a beautiful off-white, thick and creamy head that stayed alive throughout the experiences. It has a nose of slight bananas. The aroma is where this brew could improve. Taste starts on a slight bitter note, and ends with a smooth finish. Could also taste hints of caramel and molasse. Mouthfeel is pretty thin, but the creamy head help a lot. One great session beer.

This Imperial Stout poured a black colour with a thick tan head, that dissapated faster then most stout. Had scent of coffee and molasse. Picked-up some sweetness. Tasted pretty sour / bitter, and not very sweet (suprisingly). The mouthfeel was oil and smooth, and the high alcohol was very well hidden. Pretty interesting.

This maple beer poured a hazy yellow-beige colour with a nice thick head. Aromas flowed with maple syrup, and hints of bubblegum and cotton candy. The flavour was very smooth with maple with a slight bitter finish. The mouthfeel was of heavy carbonation but well balanced taste. Tabarnacle que c'é bon !!

Wychwood's Black Wych Stout poured a very dark colour with ruby highlights. It had a creamy tan head and foamy lacing. The nose was malty with hints of caramel. The taste was slightly on the molasse side, creamy bitter with a dry finish. The mouthfeel was medium, which meant that this brew is not as filling as other stouts I've tried. Could drink many.

This beautiful porter poured a black colour with red wine highlights. Its head was foamy beige with bubbly lacing. The nose was majority coffee with hints of chocolat. Taste was pretty much coffee (no chocolat). It got bitter in the middle and finished smooth. The mouthfeel was smooth with low carbonation. Quite delicious !
