From a 500ml can, poured a dark colour with red highlights, forming a big foamy head with medium thickness, that shortly dissolves. Some lacing with average malty aromas. Kind of looks like Guinness, but mouthfeel is thin and smooth. Not too bitter, not too heavy. Just a bit nutty and roasted for flavours. Awesome session beer !

Wellington County Ale was considered a pale ale, but now that Wellington has revised their labels, it is called a dark ale. Its colour is of deep golden-amber, with fine carbonation creating a medium head with nice lacing. Scent of toffee and fruits is detected, but also, some harder to find aromas. Taste of caramel with hints of herbs makes this smooth beer, very refreshing. This is a great session beer.

This beer is now called "Wellington Special Pale Ale" (formerly Special Cream Pale Ale). Wellington has just change their labels... but this pale ale is still creamy. Beautiful amber colour, it's nice foamy head is long lasting (especially for this type of style). Good amount of lacing. Aromas of caramel and hops. Full body flavour with mild bitterness, and a smooth finish. Very tight small bubble carbonation. Still, a creamy thin head is left at the end. Great 4.5% ABV pale ale.

2nd Wellington beer testing tonight. Good, it's quite different from the "Special Pale Ale". Light amber in colour with a small disappearing head. I can smell green apples. Tastes mildly bitter, not as much as expected, and with hints of those apples. Pretty damn good.

Dark red with brownish bubbly head (that lasted about 2 minutes... not bad). Nice mild aromas of chocolat and coffee, but this is nowhere near a stout. You can drink many of these without being full. In fact, you could only buy this beer in 24 packs, but it did not sell. Now, you can finally buy it in a 6 pack. Watery with hints of coffee and nuts, with a sweet smooth aftertaste. Very well priced and Lakeport's best beer along with their Honey Lager.

Comes in a "cute", small 250ml, green bottle. Bought a really portable 6-pack of these. It is close to a German Pils, but is considered a strong pale (and is from France). Has a pale golden colour and very bubbly. Not much head, and no lacing. Moderate hop aromas and mild bitter taste, with a sweet finish. Quite refreshing ! At 5.5% ABV, good thing the bottles are small. If you like Heineken, this is a good alternative.

As always, great looking label on a clear 500ml bottle, from Wychwood brewery. Poured a nice golden-orange with an average head. Had citrus aromas and taste, with a light bitterness. Also, hints of apple. Not bad, but prefered Hobgoblin from this brewery.

Had a two-for-one special last night at the pub I went to, so had a few (o.k. many). Like all Ephemere from Unibroue, I really enjoyed these. Purple-pink in colour, this well-carbonated beer had a good long-lasting head (as most Unibroue beers do). Nice fruity aromas and great black currant taste (not to sweet, always well balanced).

Comes in a nice 500ml brown bottle, with a seal around the cap written "Garanteed to be beechwood matured". Pours an amber colour and a nice bubbly head just like the Lowenbrau I had tonight (except it was beige). Aromas of sweet malts. Has a dry bitterness and a sweet finish. For and altbier, I do prefer Magnotta Brewery Classic Altbier.

Lowenbrau most popular beer (Original) is pale yellow with a good head (quite a lot for this type of beer - and long lasting). The high carbonation is swirling like a tornado in my glass. It has a slight matly aroma (but no skunk in mine... woohoo !!). Taste is crisp and refreshing, leaving a good amount of lacing. There is a mild bitterness with a clean finish. I was expecting a metallic taste, but I did not get it (which is fine with me). Great summer beer.
