Dark, strong beer brewed according to the traditional recipe from 1881, with the Munich malt and special malts for caramel and color plus the highest quality aromatic hops. Everything together creates a unique combination of taste, which values were confirmed by the gold medals won at 23rd Beer Olympics in Madrid in 1984, Euro Beer Fair'94 in Lodz, and Polagra '96.

A great porter. Very tasty with a strong taste of slightly burnt Sumatran coffee beans along with semi-sweet dark chocolate. A nice sipper with a 9.5% abv that makes you feel gooood! after just one bottle.

Pours v dark brown with tan head. Beautiful aroma. Notes of chocolate and caramel. Disguises the alcohol extremely well. Loved it to bits. Better than many imperial stouts and best Baltic porter I've tasted. Highly recommended

A nice brown colored with red tinges colored beer. A big frothy textured light tan head rises above. There's good hang time on the head. Light film and medium ringlet are left behind. Coffee and chocolate in the nose. Same in the tasting with some burnt molasses. Medium bodied and creamy smooth.

Enjoyed a bottle of this at Eva's European Sweets, when my band played Syracuse a few years back. Poured a dark brown colour with a big beige head that last and with average lacing. Beautiful aromas of coffee, maple syrup, mild dark fruits and molasses. Wow... no burn at all for a 9.5% ABV. beer. So smooth and not that thick. Maybe a little creamy even, in the end. Mild bitterness with some molasses, roasted malt and a nice sweetness in the finish. Pretty smooth imperial porter that I was quite happy to try.

Good...not quite great. Seen some smoother than this for the strength and style, but alcohol doesn't bite too hard for 9.5%. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, some burnt/roasty tones, and some sweetness from liquorice perhaps. Was a better experience than their Tatra Pilsner/Lager.....forgetable beer though.

At first crack this beer smeels nice. Pours a dark black with a light brown, fizzy head that takes its time. Aroma is of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Taste is somewhat metallic with noticable alcohol. You can taste the roasts in this one. Goes down fairly smooth and it tingles as well. For the price I will have again.

Pours near jet black with a bit of brown peeking through around the edges, the head is light tan with decent retention and resulting lacing looks silky, and is thick and sticky. The aroma is really subtle with hints at cocoa and a bit of earthiness. The taste starts with some bitter baker's chocolate, backed by some deep roasted malts. The midtaste comes through with a bit of sugary sweetness, subtle heat and a bit of smoke before finishing with a zing of acidity and a waning bitterness. The mouthfeel is full bodied and somewhat syrupy with low level carbonation.

Dark brown color with slowly settling light brown foam head, lacing to glass, sticking to lip. Sweet caramel smell, also caramel and some charcoal taste. Nice drink. (Warsaw 201201)

Pours a deep, warm, opaque sable with a thick and fairly persistent light tan head. Aroma is rich, oily and smoky with an overtone of molasses and a hint of miso. Smoky flavor is oily with hints of molasses and just a touch of sweetness, as well as a bit of hop bitterness. Texture is quite fizzy, leaving behind a nice tingle.
