Golden straw in color, this light-bodied ale is hopped with a rather unusual New Zealand hop, Nelson Sauvin. Named for the Sauvignon Blanc grape, Sauvin hops are noted for their distinctive berry-like flavor and aroma. Made with German pilsner malt, a touch of Canadian Honey Malt and fermented with American ale yeast.

Comes out of the tap a clear golden amber with a fine-bubbled white head. Rich aroma is mainly fruity, apple and pear, with a firm tone of malt. Malty flavor has an unexpected hoppy undertone that is a little bitter, plus a slightly sweet fruity component. Fizzy, ragged texture leaves a fairly persistent tingle.
