Midnight Sun is a black porter style beer, created from a blend of malted barley, oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt, balanced with a generous handful of hops and a wee bit of fresh root ginger. We really like it and hope you do too!

Light tawny yellow with small quickly dissapearing white foam head. Aroma is quite fruity, peach, orange, flowers. Taste is dominated by peach. some melon. Short fruity aftertaste, not quite my style. (Yaroslavl 201304)

Another new arrival @ Bearden Beer Mrkt: black pour with a thinning beige head and specs of lacing. Roasted malts upfront in the aroma with slight cocoa, molasses, light earthy hops. Taste echoes the aroma with a pleasant easiness and sessionability. Tasty.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Quite much pitch black colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate, mild wood as well as some chocolaty notes. Flavour is dark dry fruits, roasted malts, coffee and chocolate along with some mild wooden notes as well.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.6%. Black colour, big to moderate tan head. Nice roasted aroma, notes of dark chocolate and coffee. The flavour is distinctly roasty throughout, notes of coffee, hints of dark bitter chocolate. The finish is fairly bitter, both from the hops and the roasted barley. The finish also has a slight spicy "burn", but I am not sure I would identify it as ginger, if I hadn't read it on the label. Hints of resin in the aftertaste. All in all a very enjoyable beer.
