Good sessionable German beer. Winter-Traum pours a slightly darker shade than the Anno 1050, so about the color of a new penny, clear and with a big white head. It’s also less sweet and spicier than that beer. There’s a big lemon note and some darker specialty malts present in small amounts. There are a lot of malt notes bouncing around.

Bottle. Poured a clear reddish copper gold colored beer with a one finger slight beige creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is roasted and caramel malts, ripe fruits, raisins. The flavour is sweet malts, grassy hops, dried fruits, nuts, baked bread, toffee. The mouthfeel is round and crispy. This loght bodied beer has a short bitter hoppy finish. A nice Winter beer.

Bottled (from beerangel.de). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is nutty, fruity, mildly malty and also some slight saltwatery notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some fruityness, mild wooden bitterness as well as some slight grassyness. Mild caramely wooden notes in the finish as well as some spicing.

Pours with a frothy, initially three-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a brilliantly clear, light cranberry color, but shows a pretty, copper hue when held up to the light. The aroma is sweet and malty with just a touch of hop character. Aromatic notes of honey-like malt, soda crackers, chewy bread aromas as well as faint hop notes of grass and slight herbals are found in the nose. A pleasant aroma, though it is not overly characterful.
Sweet tasting, yet somewhat on the light side for the amount of sweetness. Sweet grain notes are noticed up front, but the finish has more of a washed out, grassy hop character to it. Cracker like malt notes that seem a bit on the stale side as well as some toasty grain notes are the most dominant note in the finish. this has a light-medium heft to it that makes it noticeable, but still easily quaffable.
Not a bad beer, but it does seem a little past its prime, though I wonder how fresh it is (it has another year to go according to the bottle date). I do like the chewy malt character and how quaffable the brew is.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Deep golden brown to amber colour, large off-white head. Moderately spicy aroma, quite nice, with some notes of bakery, also a certain fruitiness. The flavour is quite fruity but also distinctly malty, notes of toffee and mild spices, decent hops in the finish. A lager well above average! A bit too much carbonation for my taste though.

I, like some of the others here got excited about finding this bottle being labeled as a "winter" brew, and then experienced sadness when I found out it was only a Vienna Lager......but after drinking this I am a happy man. Maybe the mood was just right but this one really hit the mark tonight. Nothing unrealistic in relation to the style just a pleasant example. Sweet aroma, very bready/biscuity with a hint of stinging sour fruit. Beautiful light amber pour with a frothy head and a nice ring of lacing at the top. Sharp mouthfeel, clean and simple. Nice toasted flavor mixed in with an ample helping of sweet malt. Lightly hopped supplying a quick burst of bitterness. Doesn't excel in any category but overall I give it a deserving 8 for sheer enjoyment.

Hmmm. Not sure what any of this had to do with Winter, but it was a decent lager. Toasted malt aroma and sweet. Appearance was reddish/brown in color, off-white head with minimal retention. Sort of melted to a scummy foamy head. Flavors were sweet, minimal hops, clean. Not bad, but not really something you can find elsewhere. Still wondering what any of this had to do with Winter.

Ah, not that impressive a beer, poured an amber light brown color, not really red or copper in there. Head was normal, lacing weak. Aroma was not pleasant, really metallic (yes in the aroma) and maybe some odd chemicals in there with some grass and herbal notes. The flavor was biscuity, grassy, caramel, herbs, faint metallic notes. Mouthfeel was moderate and carbonated. Why this is a vienna is beyond me. A weak beer, needed more nuts and bread and toastiness to score higher for me.

Dark golden with good head. Thick malty scent of grass, nuts and biscuit. Sweet malty flavour domintated by grass and biscuit with herbal undertone. Finishes drier of nuts and wet grass.

Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty. A lighter bodied Octoberfest/Marzen with some pumped up alcohol (6.2%) Malty and somewhat sweet. Mild hops. Mild flavor, with not a lot of complexity. That said, this is a tasty beer. Not very complex, but tasty. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly malty sweet.
