It was lager week last week in the Sipless household and I tried several samples, I'm all lagered out! Genny is a pale reddish-gold, white head, with a hefty effervescent nature. the aroma is sweet caramel malt and hops. The taste that comes to the forefront is sweet malt, but not too sweet.

I have to do this one from memory but this one I can. I really liked it. Thought it was just going to be Genesee of another color but it was really good poured copper. I remember thinking that it was very smooth. I am not sure if this is still available but I am going to look when I amin the rochester area.

Wow this is deffinetly not your typical 12 dollar 30 pack. Genesee Red poured with a clean light copper colored body topped off by a medium sized off white head that left thin lace down the sides of the glass. Aroma was mild hops and sweet caramel malts. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied, creamy, and smooth. Lighter flavors of sweet malts and slightly acidic hops, finish was dry and slightly sour.

Came upon this in my favorite store just the other day, had never seen it in this area before. Bought a 30 can case for 11.99...and...was pleasantly surprised. I like all of High Falls beers, and this one is very good for the price. Nice color, and a head that stays around longer than most inexpensive brews. A tad on the sweet side but you can still taste the hops. Now I have 2 good "utility" beers from High Falls - Honey Brown and Genny Red...cool....

An excellent brew by Genny. The red coloring in the glass and the nice head are very appealing. The aroma is quite nice as well. I prefer Killian's just a bit more, but this is one of Genny's best product. Way to go upstate New York....nice to have a great red beer brewed in our own backyard!

This is a good beer for me, and I drink it often. Maybe not on par with a Killians, but still a really good beer. Best when as ice cold as you can possible get it without freezing. Certainly worth a try. In my experiance, people either love it or really hate it. Strong aftertaste, fans of beers like Natural Light and Bud find it pretty harsh.
