Floating on the breeze, this hazy pale is a pleasant respite from the everyday. Brewed with Waimea and Rakau hops from New Zealand and then finished with a load of Galaxy for dry-hop, this sessionable pale ale has a balanced spicy bitterness and big juicy tropical hop notes. Imagine this pleasant island, wouldn’t it be nice?

The beer pours a slightly hazed gold colour with plenty of effervescence leading to a rocky off-white head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma is citrus, lemon candy, light pine, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is piney and grassy with a bitter hop finish that lingers on the tongue.

Tall can part of mixed 4pk from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy white head and has a hazy golden orangey coloured appearance. Big thick soapy lace. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of floral and grassy hops, some yeasty notes, a bit of citrus and pine. Flavours are big citrus and grassy notes, some floral and pine in there as well, a bit yeasty and hints of wheat in the finish. Quite a lot of bitterness on the palate.

Part of their 4-pack Welly Volume Eight. Pours a hazy light golden-yellow colour with a big frothy white cap, good retention and loads of foamy-creamy lacing. Decent fresh hops giving citrus notes and mild grass. Hints of other fruitiness, almost like berries. The taste is mild with those hops. Again, light citrus and grassiness. The mouthfeel is fairly light, but still has some guts to it. Lightly dry finish. This is a nice lighter juicy Pale Ale that mixes well the citrus notes, grassy hops and sweeter yeast.
