Great Lakes are known for creating some of the best hop-forward beers in Canada so naturally we went to them to collaborate on this classic west coast-style pale ale. Brewed with Ontario grown Cascade and Chinook hops from Hayhoe Hops alongside a touch of Citra and Mosaic, this medium-bodied beer has a dank, resiny hop character with notes of pine and a refreshing hit of citrus and grapefruit on the finish.

First can of the night from the Welly "Rising Tide Collaboration Mix Pack". Soapy nose with herbal notes (reminds me of Thrills gum). Hazy, golden, amber hue with a big creamy warm off-white head, very good retention and some nice creamy lacing. The malt in the taste is fruity and the hops gives out the orange juice feel. Dryish finish, but not overly. Well-blended with the juiciness and herbal, pine hints. A nice West Coast APA.

The beer pours a pale gold colour with a bubbly off-white head with an awful lot of effervescence. The aroma was grassy malts, yeast, earthy hops, and citrus zest. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was grains, citrus zest, and tart fruits. Not a bad beer.
