Originally rated July 2019. Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy white head and has a pale but clear golden appearance. Moderate carbonation. Some dirty lacing remains. Aromas of grains, hints of rye but fairly faint, some herbal and grassy hints. Flavours are mostly sweet malt, grains, notes of rye and barley, subtle grass and herbs, a little bit wheaty. Drying mouthfeel.

Can. Colour – clear golden orange, frothy white cap. Good lacing. Aroma – light rye, biscuits, heavy yeast, and light citrus. Mouthfeel – medium bodied, medium carbonation. Flavour – light rye spiciness but mainly bready malt sweetness and weak bitter finish.

Pours a clean, light-golden colour with a big white cap that is almost creamy, very lasting long and good lacing. Cereal grain aromas with yeast and rye notes. The taste shows the grain flavours again, with hints of honey. Some nice hops mildly come to cut the sweetness in the finish. A fairly good rye lager. Maybe a little too rich in the end.

The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with plenty of effervescence and a snow white quarter inch cap that lasts a while. The aroma is grainy malt, rye, noble hops, and yeast. Not bad. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with average carbonation, and is very ‘crisp’. The flavour showcases the rye very well, balancing it with the barley and noble hops. This actually isn’t a bad beer.
