T-6 Red Ale is the beer that inspired the Warbird Brewing Company. I made a 5 gallon batch of this beer at home for my wife, Kristine. She wanted something more flavorful than the average domestic beer, but she wanted something very smooth. Most importantly, she wanted a beer with absolutely no aftertaste. After having a couple, Kristine said, “This is great. This is so good, you could sell it.” That’s how it all started. Now, she and I own a brewery. We named the beer after the North American AT-6 because we really love that airplane and have tremendous respect for the men and women who flew it. Just like the airplane, this beer is smooth and well-balanced. We don’t do anything extreme with our T-6 when we fly, and we don’t do anything extreme with this beer. Warbird T-6 Red Ale is designed to be a flavorful, easy to drink, “low impact” beer. It starts with American 2-row malt and just enough crystal malt to give it a pleasing red color. The finest hop varieties give it the smooth taste profile and light aroma. The yeast we use to ferment T-6 Red Ale leaves a wonderfully clean, light finish. This beer hit the target. T-6 Red Ale has the flavor and balance of a wonderfully hand-crafted all malt beer. If you’ve never had a micro-brewed beer before, this is a great place to start. If you are looking for a light-bodied easy to drink red ale, Warbird T-6 Red Ale is a fantastic choice. Trust me. We’ve tried a couple. T- 6 Red Ale Specifications: Original Gravity: 10.0º Plato (1.041 Specific Gravity) Malt: American 2-Row, 60 Crystal Hops: German Hallertau, Czech Saaz IBU: 15 Color: 14.5 SRM Alcohol: 4.6% by volume Drinkability: Superior

This brew earned the right to get a longer review than my others because it earned it , BIG TIME! Had to make a denture on my way through Indiana to get some of this stuff. I love old planes and thought because of the name I would give it a shot. I was not disappointed. Aroma is very pleasant and easy on the nose. Poured out a dark amber/red color with a BIG fluffy white head on it that dissipated slowly. Taste is excellent and full flavored with a ever slight metallic hint to it. Carbonation is slightly higher than usual but it works very well with this style of brew. Absolutely no aftertaste whatsoever. A little more expensive than other brews but is well worth it. This is my best rated brew to date. Wish they would expand to my state because I may have to make another trip down to Indiana to get another 6 pack. Saver this one. This is my new favorite beer. Highly recommended isn't saying enough. BUY THIS BEER!
