Bright Amber colour with a creamy white head, releasing subtle noble hop aromas, a slightly toasty malt flavour up front giving way to a firm hop flavour, which leads to a wonderfully balanced finish that is long and refreshingly dry. Full bodied, spicy and crisp.

I wasn't expecting much from this Amber Lager, a style that can be hit and miss and in Canada, can generally be all over the map. This one pours a clear amber with little head. The aroma is caramel malt with some hops in the air. The flavour is malty with a hint of hops and plums. Unlike some other Amber lagers, this one doesn't fill you up (ala Alexander Keith's Red Amber Ale)

Pours a perfect amber colour with a moderately fine head that subsides quite quickly, unfortunately. Nose is of medium strength, but offers little uniqueness. Taste is strong, satisfying and lasts. Medium carbonation tastes appropriate. Cannot get my hand on the overall taste, but would agree with other reviews in that it tastes like a quality dough. Good beer with a stronger taste than most lagers that I will undoubtably buy again.

Part of the 2008 Ontario Craft Beer Discovery Pack. The beer poured a translucent red-tinged golden colour with a generous white head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was slightly malty, a little tinge of hops, and a lot of mustiness as stated previously. The beer is thin to medium bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour has a slight sweetness to it, a little bit of caramel malt, and a little hoppish character in the end.

Holey crap! This is one awsome brew! Poured a nice thick, solid white head similar to a Caffreys or Kilkenny on tap, nice light amber/orange colour, decent tiny bubble carbonation, floaties that never settle and a decent ammount of brown sediment blobs. Seeing that sediment dump into the glass came as quite the suprise. Produced a consistant solid ring of lacing thoughout the tasting. Aroma is sweet and malty. Something seems odd about the breadiness, so I read the other reviews and I gotta agree with Pootz that its "musty earthy bread dough". Nice hops as well. Taste is similar to the smell but is lighter on the breads and comes with a perfectly balanced bitterness. Flavours do not overcome the other qualities of the beer. Mouthfeel is almost medium bodied, extremely smooth with a better delivery than most beers and has a nice creamy soft light bitter finish. I need more of this. I got to say that I had my doubts about this beer, considering that I bought in Dauphin, Manitoba and it was a single (the only one in the store).Excellent beer.

I had to trek all the way to Winnipeg to find this Ontario grown brew. I havent located it in the beerstore at home yet. Decent brew with lots of flavour at a decent price. Lots of hops and a fine aftertaste and apperance. Recommended.

This is made in windsor in a small microbrewery and you can tell that they take pride in their beer. It is a very consistent product bottle after bottle. It is better than your average lager and winner of many awards. It is crisp, refreshing, and the bitterness is perfectly strong. This beer is part of my regular rotation because it is always a pleasure to drink.

Growler filled at the brewery: Decanted a nice amber-gold with moderate carbonation producing a small slightly off white cap that goes to a sticky lace and ring. Aromas of musty earthy bread dough and a slight twang of nobel hops. Starts fairly sturdy for a lager with lots of sweet malt body then mellows as the hop mix comes in creating an earthy-bready impression, finish is medium with a biscuit dough after taste. I liked this growler sample much better than what I had on tap....perhaps it was fresher. A fair malty lager...filling and a tad on the sweet side...I understand this took a gold at the world beer cup for "American amber lager" class.
