Thunder Ale is an American Pale Ale brewed for the local ECHL Hockey Team the Stockton Thunder. The beer is hopped with Simcoe, Ahtanum and Amarillo for both bittering and aroma hop additions. The malt bill includes Munich and Rye malts for a unique flavor. The beer is on sale at the Valley Brew pub and the Stockton Arena.

On tap at the brewpub. Don’t know if it’s still on tap or not, but this review is front a few months ago. Aroma has some citrus/flower-like notes to it, semi-sweet malt grains to keep it nicely balanced. Flavor has some great balance between the yeast, hops and malts. I’ll have to try it at the Stockton Arena to see if it holds up. Went well with my turkey sandwich.
