Initial poor clear bright yellow, later with some yeast mixed hazy. White foam head. Aroma is pure lager, some yeast. Taste is light bitter with some sweet caramel tones. (Velp, 201206

A hazy golden colored ale. Really impressive head. Robust, light frothy white. Great hang time, one of the longest I’ve seen come out of a bottle. Spicey, citrusy, floral, sweet aroma hits the nose. The medium body is smooth and lightly carbonated, making this very drinkable. Light flavors of yeast, fruit and ever so subtle bittering hops. Great with a hot spicy meal.

Pour was a dirty yellow color with little head or lacing. The aroma and flavor were both of overripe fruit. Really sweet and a flat mouthfeel. I can't say I enjoyed this one much.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6%. Brewed in the abbey. Secondary fermentation in the bottle. Hazy golden colour, no head, minimal carbonation. The bottle cap can’t have been air tight - a part of the glass rim was missing. The aroma and flavour were okay, though. Yeasty, sweetish, fruity and spicy aroma, notes of leather and oak too. Fruity and spicy flavour, quite nice. Soft mouthfeel, due to lack of carbonation. Will need to try another bottle.

Hazy yellow colour, big white head. Wheat, yeast, malts and fruits in aroma. Flavour is the same in a very wellbalanced and pleasant mix. Like a good little brother to the triple.

Pours a slightly hazy pale straw color, with a one finger head that settles quickly to a thin cap and ring and leaves behind some thin lacing. Smell; yeasty with strong floral notes, and some traces of pepper. There's some sweet fruits that I can't quite place along with a wheat prsence. Taste; very fruity up front, with oranges and pears, and floral. There's a solid malty biscuity flavor, and candied sugar as well as a strong wheat presence, and finishes with a pleasant peppery spiciness. While this isn't a big in your face knid of beer, I found myself really enjoying this understated/sublte brew. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, and very refreshing.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a huge white head, lots of lacing. Great aroma, backed with flavors of fruit and floral, spice, malt. Mouthfeel is full and very nice. All around a terrific beer.

Well, certainly *pours* blonde looking. Nice head and lacing, too! Aroma is a bit on the sour side with some nice spices, but to style. Ya’ know, the easiest way to describe this is to call it a solid Belgian Ale. Nicely done.

03.19.05 33cl bottle Very pale, lightly hazed golden pour with massive, rocky white head. Bready aromas, slight funk, wheaty esters abound, clove, mulch. Palate is soft and very effervescent. A bit tinny, earthy hops, more clove, musty. Not great, not complex, but drinkable and refreshing.

Poured a golden yellow color with a turbulent swirly cloud in the middle from the yeasties (I enjoy yeasties in my beer). The cloudy mess just sat there, didn't mix around or anything, really cool "storm cloud" sitting there. The lacing was good. The aroma was a mix between a wit and a pilsner, some spices and floral notes over top of some grassiness. The flavor was solid, wheat-like base with some spices (cloves), some sweet fruity notes (apples, citrus), honey, and a nice dry and peppery hopped finish. Mouthfeel was dead on, light enough to refresh.
