Golden yellow with huge white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is sweet but bitter malt. Taste is fine bitter with some caramel, nice long bitter aftertaste. Unfiltered and with only 6%, very thirst-quenching. (Velp 201208)

Poured from bottle in original Urhtel glass. Shows a hazy, yellow colour with a nice firm white head that leaves good lacing on the glass. Little carbonation and little aroma of spices and malt. Mouthfeel has a solid bite to it, thanks to the many different spices in the flavours. Finished off with a nice bitterness, this is a good thirst quencher and easy to drink.

Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy slightly off-white head that settles quite quicly. Leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild yeast, quite much fruityness as well as mild spicyness. Flavour is rather sweet malts, some zesty notes, mild wooden notes as well as some yeast and mild spices. As it warms up, it gets some mild barnyardy notes in the aroma.

Newly discovered at the Sharp Edge Brasserie. This Saison had a wee bit too much hop bite in the finish for me. The foggy yellow liquid held up the nice thick white foam, which had good solid retention. On the buds, I thought Urthel was a bit grainy and dry. Perfumey aromas wafted from the glass. I had a different saison at the Steel City Big Pour the following night that I thought was much better. And it wasn't even from Belgium. Didn't think it was worth the $9.00 I paid for it. I guess I just prefer something a bit sweeter in character.

Tap: Houston Flying Saucer .. Pours a medium hazy gold.. good amount of puffy head, lacing is quite good too .. . aromas of hay, yeast, and light beehive .. quite a sweet saison, especially for a Belgian . .. You see? You just can't trust anyone. The first girl I let into my life and she tries to eat me.

Sampled on 6/26/2010. This Belgian ale/saison pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from a 33cl bottle. Large sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is cereal and fruity, sweet, slightly spicy and earthy. A medium to light bodied Belgian ale/saison. The malts are fruity and sweet with a touch of cereal. The hops are earthy. Lively carbonation. Crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

330 ml bottle. Poured a hazy golden orange colored ale with a three fingers white creamy foamy head, with tons of micro bubbles, that had an excellent retention. Active carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is floral hops, candy sugar, notes of aciditic fruits, lemon, orange. The flavour is yeasty, fruity, grapefruit, spicy, peppery, with a solid floral hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is slight creamy and very smooth. This medium bodied ale has a spiced and hoppy bitter finish. A very refreshing ale

    11. 2 fl. oz. bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.0%. Very pale yellow colour, huge white head. Typical aroma of saison yeast, fruity and spicy notes. The flavour is fairly crisp and spicy, not too sweet. Distinct bitterness in the finish.
