Enjoyed at Stone Soup Cafe in Pictou. Pours a dark brown colour with a beautiful chunky-creamy beige head, great retention and dirty lacing. Smokey roasted malt aromas with hints of chocolate, coffee and dark fruits. These last ones are even more present in the taste with berries. Burnt malt and nice bitterness in the finish from the hops. Refreshing, yet sticky, and a nice dryness. This is a fine smoked porter with the smokiness being more present than most of this style (I've had), but so well-balanced. So good !
